Brown Brown everywhere

'Dan Brown' wooo the name sounds very familiar, and for many of them it sparks fly in their minds(hehe). For the rest, yea i can guess you mite be having an expression ' whoz dis guy eh?'. I tell u he's one of the best Fiction authors this century ever had. In a very short time he grew so famous – all of his books were simply superb. Thanks to him i started reading more of fictions and in fact got glued to them. I remember very vividly the day my father bought the 'Digital Fortress' and asked me to read it. I was like – nay not now it looks big, and moreover the cover page isnt appealing'. Let me try later'. Few weeks later, i came across the same book, i thought chalo lemme give it a chance and started reading first few pages, oo la la its gud, i was mislead by the look of it.. i never knew that would be the beginning for my journey into the bookland. So here i am reading the book 'Digital Fortress', having my semester exams in a couple of days . Literally the book kept me glued what a story it is! Each moment led out beautifully, gracefully, and deliciously. I somehow tried to complete most of the book ( i wonder how i read tht having exams in a few days)..
I admire the way Brown puts each character and describing that actor in a way very realistic. Its more in framing each component, stitching them and finally adding a touch of life.
One thing that can be noticed is all books have stories that take place in a day(24 – 36 hrs). All have same kinda start, and end ine same way. For sure the lead actor and actress will survive, killing the villain ( :-) ).As u go on reading the book, u'll get to know things u never heard of, Each chapter grips the reader, who can keep guessing about the person behind the disaster. You wouldn't expect that person is the cause behind all this, Best of all, one can get lot of technical knowledge from the book, for Deception point i would say, it was all about physics/ chemistry – what kinda meteorite, metal used, and what may be the cause for the reaction between 2 chemicals. Hoooof..
Da Vinci Code was more about religion, and spirituality. Blimey, i was astonished when i saw the movie, it came out perfectly, with the characters fitting in perfectly. Unfortunately many issues raised out of the book. I prefer not to talk about it much, but yes people its a must read, keeping aside all your presumptions. All those mentioned in the book may or may not be true,
Well let me end it here. Will be back with more soon.. i have lottt to tell about books :)
I would rate Digital Fortress as my fav ( well it helped me in my journey) What do you say?

Horsley Hills

Trip to Horsley Hills:

After long talks and so much of hussle pussle we finally booked tickets to Horsley hiils near Chittoor district, A.P. Unknown to most of them, Horsley hiils is a small hill station - highest point in Andhra Pradesh. It is a real cooler for people residing in A.P.

It was a sunny day. We all were excited. I have been waiting to visit for almost 3 weeks. And finally it arrived, we were to start on 29th May by Volvo. There was no direct bus to Horsley hills. we had to halt at Madanapalli ( a small sleepy village) and from there catch another bus (.. those buses were crowded like anything.) The first bus was too crowded, not an inch of place to move your head! We didnt even give a thought of getting in. Some gossip went around that there is no bus till 6PM. We were terrified, We coudn't find any taxis who would take us up to te hill. The depot manager has some gud news for us. There was another bus supposed to be a summer special at 10AM (lucky we). TNow, there was ample time. I had a stroll around the small town. It was pretty good. well organised. and best of all trees all around. Time soon passed by, the bus will be around any minute. Ah.. there it is. Hurrying past the crowd, my little carelessness cost me lagre enough :(
. My cute, smart Digi cam was stolen. Am still cursing that person.
This dampened my spirits and i was drowned. How could i lose it? How could i ever? If only i was a little careful those 2 minutes....

My journey had an unhappy start. Those trees, and the wonderful view while ascending the hill cheered me up. Such a magnificent view. It'll make anyone's heart melt. Thanks to our reservation, we got a wonderful guest room to spend the days ahead.

APTDC is the sole provider for everything - accomodation, restaurant, everything - a monopoly. No doubt he has huge profits. We started for a stroll around after lunch. There was a sign board with directions and names which were like -

Whispering winds, Wind fall, wild winds. So here started our search for these places. We reached the top most point on the hill. It was awesome, jus like a picture taken from satellite- those green fields, and stretches of soil. It was breathtaking view you can never forget in a lifetime. One can never get tired of watching that splendid scenery. U can feel the cool breeze touch your cheeks, the sun shining on u though the clouds were playing with it. Impeccable it was, Given a chance i could stay there and watch the sun come and go all day all night.
We came across ahoarding - "Environmental Museum". Name was so impresssive that it pulled us in. Many things were running in my mind - musuem must be having very rare archeological remains which were found while excavating, this that.. Not until we went did we realise ki it was a Zoo with few peacocks, birds that's it. I was laughning uncontrollably. how deceiving it was.Dusk was setting in, there was a small snack stall - we had some nice tea with crispy and hot mirchi's. They were gud enough to keepu ur spirits high.

The second day started off pretty well. The usual breakfast and a stroll around... and hey there were Obstacle activities.. It was superb. I was excited seeing that. I started with the first one - a rope net( its called somthin). It looked easy - until neha got onto it She was trembling. And on that very day she took a vow - well people i'll not tel u. She'll kill me if i do. lol
Second was a gud one - it was rope with swing like steps, where u hav to go the other end. Right balance will keep you straight. i was missing my digi cam very badly. We spent most of our time here. watching people as they come and go.

Finally the day came to an end - Time to start home.

Folks i'll get back to you more of Day 2 at the hills soon.

Back to my old days

Learnt a new thing today : "A good compromise leaves everybody mad."
When i go back to my university days.. ahh wat fun it was! i remember writing lab records sitting in the first bench and getting un-noticed, imitating lecturers, playing su-do-ku ( unfortunately we got caught) and those lunches in the cramped canteen where the chef used to serve idli chutney with manchuria.
Will keep u people posted! gotto leave..

Maizeit!
Had an awful day today.. was unusual. you never kno how things will turn out to be. Somehow Veni Vidi Vici doesn't seem to match all this..
